About Dream Nest

The people behind your case.

Dream Nest is a small, regulated team — not a call centre, not a faceless platform. Here is who you would actually be working with, from the first call to long after the signing.

Cassandra Lyn Rosenblum, founder of Dream Nest Spain
Founder & CEO

Cassandra Lyn Rosenblum

Cassandra Lyn Rosenblum was born in San Francisco and raised in Spain from her teenage years — close enough to call it home, foreign enough to remember exactly what it feels like not to understand the system.

Twenty years in banking, specialising in real estate financing, taught her how banks in Spain actually read a file — and how rarely that gets explained to the people it affects most. Dream Nest exists because that gap needed closing.

She is a mother of three, bilingual by life rather than by classroom, and the person most clients end up speaking to directly — not because Dream Nest is a one-woman operation, but because she still believes founders should be reachable.

Why I created Dream Nest

Because buying a home should never feel like guessing.

I created Dream Nest Spain in 2024, but the truth is it was born much earlier — after more than twenty years working in banking, watching how the system treats people who don’t fit the standard mould. I saw international buyers arrive in Spain full of excitement, only to find a mortgage process that nobody explained clearly. Income structures that banks didn’t understand. Costs that appeared at the last minute. Documents requested three times over. I know what it feels like to sit on the other side of the desk and not be sure whether the person in front of you is really looking out for your interests.

Dream Nest exists so that nobody has to go through that alone. Every case we take on receives the same thing: honest analysis, a clear structure, and someone who genuinely answers the phone. We are not a comparison engine. We are not a bank. We are the people who prepare your case so the bank sees what we already see — that your project is viable, that your income is real, and that your story deserves to be understood.

Your mortgage is our core service, and it always will be — that part is regulated, and we don’t cut corners on it. But it was never really the whole story. Once we understand your case, we also make sure you’re never left figuring out the rest alone: a lawyer, a valuer, a currency specialist, whoever your purchase actually needs. Not a directory, not a name we found online — people we’ve worked alongside and would trust with our own family’s move. That’s what taking care of someone properly looks like to me.

I want Dream Nest to grow — more cases, more people who get this kind of care instead of guessing their way through it. But growth only means something to me if it doesn’t cost us the part that actually matters: someone who picks up the phone, who remembers your case, who tells you the truth even when it’s not what you hoped to hear. That’s not a phase we grow out of. It’s the whole point.

"If I have learned anything in twenty years, it is this: behind every mortgage there is a life project. And every life project deserves someone who takes the time to understand it before touching a single spreadsheet."

Senior Mortgage Advisors

Ioana and Mónica keep every case moving.

Ioana Furau, Senior Mortgage Advisor

Ioana Furau

Senior Mortgage Advisor

A European by conviction as much as by passport — twenty years in Italy, a life shaped by borders that never quite felt like borders. Ioana specialises in helping non-resident buyers finance and secure property in Spain, translating complex cross-border profiles into cases banks understand.

She speaks English, Italian, Romanian and Spanish fluently, with working knowledge of French, German and Hungarian — language as a way of meeting people where they are, not the other way around.

Structured, organised, and unshakeably calm under complexity, Ioana brings the same care to a first-time buyer as to a seven-figure investment. Outside work, she's a mother, a traveller, and someone who can't walk past a stray dog without stopping.

Mónica Jane Cubel Fisher, Senior Mortgage Advisor

Mónica Jane Cubel Fisher

Senior Mortgage Advisor

Twenty years inside traditional banking taught Mónica what the system does well — and what it stopped doing. Branch management, teams, real decisions. But somewhere along the way, the sitting-down-and-listening part got lost to standardisation. So she left.

For nearly seven years now, she's worked independently, registered with the Bank of Spain as an ICI, bringing the same rigour without the disappearing act. At Dream Nest, every case gets the time it actually needs — not the time a process allows.

She teaches English on the side, dances when she can, and believes — correctly — that behind every mortgage is a story worth understanding properly before anyone touches a spreadsheet.

What we believe

How we work, in four sentences.

Before the bank sees it We prepare your case before it reaches the bank — not after it gets rejected.
Beyond the headline rate We compare offers beyond the interest rate: linked products, conditions, what each one really costs.
After the notary Our relationship does not end at the signing — we keep you informed for as long as the mortgage runs.
Regulated, not improvised Regulated by the Bank of Spain · ICI E156. No hidden commissions, no claims we can't stand behind.
Where we work

A real office, not a virtual address.

C/ Federico García Lorca, 9, 12530 Burriana, Castellón — the same place Cassandra, Ioana and Mónica actually work from, every day. If you are ever nearby, the door is real too.

What this actually means

Before 2008, signing a mortgage in Spain often meant trusting the small print to be fair. It wasn't always. The financial crisis — and the wave of abusive clauses that came with it, like the "floor clauses" that quietly locked in a minimum rate no matter how far the market fell — forced a rewrite of the rules. Not a tweak. A rewrite.

In 2019, Spain passed a new law for mortgage lending — the LCCI (Ley de Contratos de Crédito Inmobiliario) — transposing an EU-wide directive designed to close exactly those gaps. In practice, it means: you receive a binding, plain-language offer days before you sign, not on the day. A notary has to walk you through the contract for free, at least one day before signing, and confirm you understood it — not just that you signed it. Banks now cover most of the arrangement costs that buyers used to carry alone. Early repayment penalties are capped by law. And anyone who intermediates a mortgage professionally — including us — now has to be registered and supervised, not just "helpful."

That's what "regulated by the Bank of Spain · ICI E156" means in practice: Dream Nest Consultants S.L. is registered as a real estate credit intermediary, under active supervision. It's not a badge we chose — it's a status we have to earn and keep.

Dream Nest Consultants S.L. · CIF B19728146 · C/ Federico García Lorca, 9, 12530 Burriana, Castellón, España. See our legal notice, privacy policy and whistleblowing channel.

Professional indemnity insurance Registration also requires us to carry professional indemnity insurance. If we ever get something wrong in a way that costs you money, that's what it's there for — not a marketing line, a legal requirement of being registered at all.
Continuous professional development Regulation changes. Bank criteria shifts. New buyer profiles emerge. We update our training every year — the annual LCCI compliance review is one example, not the whole picture. Staying current is not optional. It is how we avoid giving clients advice that was accurate last year.
Whistleblowing channel Since 2023, Spanish law requires companies like ours to maintain an independent channel where anyone — client, employee, or third party — can report something that isn't right, without going through us first. Ours is run by an outside compliance firm, DSM Consultoría, precisely so it isn't ours to control.
Data protection & compliance We comply with all obligations under the GDPR and Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD). Our data protection framework is managed with the support of DSM Consultoría — because compliance is not something we do in-house at the margin.
Transparent fees Our fee arrangement is explained clearly at the start of every engagement, as required by the LCCI and Orden EHA/2899/2011. No surprises after the fact. No incentives we have not disclosed. You know how we work before we start.
